Each request for medical assistance follows strict medical logistics, which starts with opening the file

Immediate confirmation of opening the file with a reference number.

Analysis of your file by supervising physician (request for repatriation, medical presence on an event, second medical opinion…).

Prescription of the most appropriate mode of repatriation according to the medical contacts: delay and type of vector/escort.

Prescription of the mode of repatriation the best suited to your needs: the time, direction and escort assignment.

Establishing a quote for a complete service (“bed-to-bed” for evacuation).

Obtaining the agreements of the hospitals of departure and arrival with exchange of information with the attending physician and the receiving team.

Starting the mission after acceptance of our quote (a guarantee of payment may be required at this stage).

Obtaining the agreement from the departure hospital for repatriating the patient and information exchange with patient’s general practitioner and home health services.

Verification of various administrative permits (for example visas requirements, etc.).

Feedback at each stage of the mission to the locally treating doctor, the assistance company or to the family of the patient.

It is essential that the patient’s situation is sorted out with the authorities receiving him before the mission takes off.

There should be a bed ready at the local hospital – adapted to the patient’s pathology. All administrative (admission, financial agreements) need to be completed before starting the mission.

Our team at Medic’Air has the ability to reserve a place in the hospital during the process of repatriation (for example when patient’s condition requires stabilization in the hospital), before continuing the journey to his home country.

In case of the medical emergency, and only if all the financial arrangements have been completed, Medic’Air can inquire French authorities a safe passage – pending administrative regulation – to be let in France by air ambulance flight to Paris-Le Bourget and to be admitted to a Parisian hospital for a patient being a subject to obtaining visa in order to enter to the EU.
